Alain Berteau, born in Germany in 1971, graduated in architecture in 1996. In 2002, he opened his own architectural office in Brussels. This has evolved into a product and interior design agency working for many international companies. Through innovative technology, added value, effortless ecology and simplicity, Alain Berteau has dedicated himself to developing and promoting pertinent design solutions. Alain Berteau is a pioneer in eco-friendly inventions like his framework-wrapping products or his sound-absorbing office accessories. In 2005 he became a professor at La Cambre in Brussels. In 2006, he received the award for “Designer of the Year” at the Kortrijk Interior Design Biennial and in 2008 he was a finalist in the INDEX design award in Denmark. In 2010, he was the guest of honor at the Agora Biennial in Bordeaux. He is artistic director of RGB (rvb.be) and Objekten (objekten.com)
