Support Tibetan Culture

The Golog Support Foundation and Miami University are hosting a Tibetan Cultural Night.

An evening of traditional Tibetan nomadic music and performances is being held in support of the Golog Support Foundation’s two healthcare clinics and primary school projects in Golog, Tibet. Performers include musician Kalsang and singer Aren Dolma.

The Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southeastern part of Qinghai Province, China, on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. It’s almost 30 times the size of Luxembourg and has a population of around 250,000, the vast majority of them ethnic Tibetan nomads, living a traditional nomadic lifestyle herding sheep and yak, and living at an average altitude of 4,200 metres.

Since 2006, under the vision and direction of Lama Jigmé Namgyal, the Golog Support Foundation has supported the construction and development of two healthcare clinics, and a school for children from poor nomadic families.

The cultural evening is free of charge, but there is a suggested donation of €15.
